Cookies Policy

Session Integrity, Security & Preference Storage

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small encrypted data files stored securely on your browser or device. They enable EduTrack to maintain your authenticated session as you switch between schools, manage academic records, and view financial ledgers without requiring you to re-authenticate on every page request.

2. Cookie Categories We Use

Strictly Necessary & Authentication (Essential)Always Active

Essential HTTP-only cookies utilized by our Supabase auth layer to maintain cryptographic session tokens (`sb-access-token`, `sb-refresh-token`). Disabling these prevents platform authentication.

Purpose: User identity verification, CSRF mitigation, RLS policy enforcement.
Functional & Localization PreferencesFunctional

Stores regional formatting choices (currency display preferences, language locale, dashboard layout toggles).

Purpose: Remembering user interface preferences and active property filters.

3. Zero Third-Party Ad Trackers

EduTrack strictly rejects cross-site behavioral advertising trackers. We do not sell cookie telemetry or provide user profile dossiers to third-party ad networks.

4. Managing Cookies in Your Browser

You can configure your browser to block or alert you about cookies. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will render the authenticated school, staff, and parent portals inoperable.
